Back to School with Twinkl

Twinkl offered me a 6 month membership to try out and share my thoughts on their resources. The 6 months are nearly up now and I’m devastated. When teaching in the UK, I bought a Twinkl membership while teaching Year 1 and thought it was brilliant – such a time saver and the quality of […]

Heatons; School Supplies

I went to Heatons to buy a new washing basket and of course they too have their ‘Back to School’ range. Some great bits and pieces for good prices. (Although the permanent markers, pencils etc are cheap – I’ve tried some of them before and found they don’t last.)

Tesco; School Supplies

I popped into Tesco on my way home from meeting a friend for lunch today and noticed they have lots on offer for Back to School. While I know its only July and we still have a month before we go back, there were some great deals available in Tesco today.

Summer Course; The National Childrens Choir (A review)

Sounds Good Phonics – Books 1 and 2 (A review)

I met with Gill and MacMillan last week. It was a really interesting meeting and I got some new books to review. The above are part of the ‘Sounds Good Phonics’ range. There are 4 books and they have very similar layouts but at different levels of ability. (Book 1 is for Junior Infants, Book […]

New Wave – Pre Writing Patterns

Another 2 fantastic resources from Prim Ed Publishing. The book and write on posters prepare children for letter formation. The posters – There is a collection of 12 A3 sized laminated posters that you can write on and wipe off using whiteboard markers. They would be perfect in a writing station in Junior/Senior Infants or […]
