We had a quick meeting after school the other day and put together a list of suggestions – some ideas below – with examples of how to integrate it with other areas of the curriculum!
Some ideas – to integrate Maths with other areas of the curriculum;
Design a maths character – write a logo and slogan (also ties in with Literacy)
Array City – link art and multiplication
Lines and angles

Mondrian – perpendicular, parallel lines, angles.

Shape monsters – all kids network see ideas here.
Design a book for a younger class – Story of 10, time, addition or subtraction etc.
Design an activity book/ worksheets for your classmates or for a younger group.
Length – measure the longest throw or jump.
Addition – have a number of buckets/ hoops – each has a different value. Children throw beanbags/ ball trying to reach a target. Then add up their totals to get a score.
Place value toss
PE and Maths Poster with ideas (available on TPT)
This can be linked to different areas/ subjects.
Make a pictogram/bar chart showing favourite colours, food, hobby etc.
Science – healthy lunch
Timelines – how long ago did that happen? (Place value)
