Visual Timetable

I have always used a visual timetable as I find it is hugely beneficial for all children. It gives children an idea of what is happening throughout the day and reduces anxiety or worry. It helps children to learn to tell the time. It gives independence as children don’t have to constantly ask what are we doing now/next. A routine is in place which is beneficial for children with behavioural or special educational needs.

We are studying time at the moment. I have included analog and digital clocks so we can practice time daily.

There are many websites where you can download visual timetables. I use these from Sparklebox and Twinkl.
