For the first time in many years there will be an election for the position of INTO President. Two teachers have put themselves forward for the role – John Boyle and Gregor Kerr. Both candidates have vast experience in teaching and also in the INTO. This blogpost is not to promote either candidate but to give some information about both candidates and a quick overview of the election process.
The vote for INTO President is a postal vote. On Monday 27th March, the voting papers will arrive in your school and all members of the INTO can vote. Substitute teachers, teachers on a career break etc. will receive their voting papers at home. These papers must be returned to the INTO Head Office by 5pm on Wednesday 12th April. The result will be declared on Thursday 13th April. You can read more about the voting process here.
